That is so cool!
Thank you.
I want this in my apartment.
It is not sold yet…. :)
If I was wealthy, believe me, I’d stuff your pockets with however much you want for this!
It’s a classic portrait. Those muted colours are wonderful. You’re so super talented, Michael.
Thank you. Actually, it was quite hard for me to stick to a more mute palette.
It does not look that way. But that’s what I admire about an artist’s diligence. I see the struggle in the beauty of the final presentation. Best wishes. xo
Hat dies auf Still Another Photoblog rebloggt.
Wonderful painting. I was surprised at how large it was. In my head, it’s much smaller. :):)
Also (really and truly!) I was originally going to write: Wahnsinn? Wirklich? Because this doesn’t even approach the idea of madness for me. I find it so much more delightful, playful … all the fun words of the imagination. :):)
Thank you, I’m glad you like it. During creating this piece, I was thinking about madness. The idea, or the question, behind the piece is if someone has to be at least a little bit mad, or talented for madness, to see the things from a different angle and to observe the things the „normal people“ don’t see. Under this perspective there could be two towns: one is reason and second is madness. Between the two towns is a long road with little villages where creativity and imagination live.

Thanks for visiting my Blog and Liking my post, Namaste!
Thank you for visiting mine.
Love the tension in his eyes and the way it is mirrored in his hands. The mouse is an interesting counterpoint with his curiosity about the bubble.
I appreciate the likes that you have given to several of my posts. I am sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you. Nice work on this painting! :) I like the hint of madness in the man’s eyes and how it contrasts with the fun elements of the pink bubble and the mouse.
I also like the way that you painted his hands. The details and skin tones are well done. I notice them because drawing hands is definitely something that I need to work on.
I was reading some of the comments, and I can relate to your struggle with muted colors. Right now I am working on some illustrations that are outside of my usual style. I am learning some new things trying to paint them, but I have to say it is not easy.
Thank you for stopping by mine! I really like thee way you play with colors!
Keep it up! Cheers,
P&F
Thank you. I always try to go my way with colors, but sometimes a painting is demanting a special color. And who am I to refuse it.
