Damn parameciums are everywhere!
[…] was enchanted by the paramecium paintings of Michael Ehrhardt. I suggested they needed poetic words. He challenged me to write them. […]
It reminds me about a painting I saw at Hamburger Kunsthall – Ferdinand Hodler, View Into Infinity II :)
Although I did not know this special piece until now I appreciate Hodler very much and can clearly see the similarities. Actually I was ispired by a painting by Daniel Richter, where also a man, in that case a soldier, stands on top of a mountain but I do not know the title. But I think both paintings refer to a common subject in German romantism that was also painted by Caspar David Friedrich (Wanderer above the Sea on Fog).
I know Wanderer above the Sea of Fog (I saw it at Hamburger Kunsthalle) and it is one of my fav paintings!
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and like several of my recent posts. I enjoyed looking at this piece because it reminds me how all life is interconnected. It made me think about the principle of correspondence (“As above, so below; as below so above”) and the possibility that multiple dimensions of life exist even though we may not always be aware of them.
Thank you for your comment. That is a really interesting thought and worth engrossing.
You are welcome. I am glad that you enjoyed my comment. :)
I love it!
Thank you so much.
